Every woman wants to look and feel beautiful. Though beauty is subjective for it depends on the person who sees it, it is undeniable that the world has set some standards regarding beauty. This includes having an hourglass body. Some women want to enhance their looks by applying make-up but some prefer more permanent solutions, including body modification. This does not mean that they are not contented with what they have but they just want to feel better.
One of the most frequently performed cosmetic surgeries in the world is liposuction. It may be considered as a simple procedure but it requires good preoperative planning. Little do you know that not everybody is a candidate for the procedure. You have to consult with your surgeon first and let your body be examined to know if you are a candidate or not for liposuction.
Liposuction provides an improved shape of the body by removing unwanted or excess fat in target areas. Liposuction can be done as a freestanding procedure, with no need to be combined with other surgeries. In liposuction a small incision is made, measuring approximately 2 to 5 mm depending on the tube called a cannula. The surgeon then injects a fluid to control bleeding, and anesthesia is required during the procedure. A cannula connected to a suction tube is inserted and the fat is then removed with a back and forth motion. When the contour is satisfactory, the surgeon stops the procedure.
Know that liposuction is performed only in small areas. Since there are various techniques and machines that can be used regarding liposuction, it depends on the surgeon what will be used. The surgeon knows which is the most appropriate to the patient. You need to understand that liposuction is not a weight loss procedure that is not always recommended even if you have excess skin.
