Combining Brazilian butt lift with tummy tuck
One of the common questions plastic surgery prospects ask is whether it is possible to have Brazilian butt lift and tummy tuck at the same time. The short answer is no, not without withstanding a significant level of increased discomfort while sleeping and resting during the recovery period
When Brazilian butt lift and tummy tuck are performed on the same patient, the body will experience revolutionary aesthetic transformation. However, before going under the knife, you should be sure that you are seeking these interventions for the right reasons. You should know that the Brazilian butt lift addresses aesthetic flaws in the butt, whereas the tummy tuck treats sagginess in the abdomen. If you have smaller, flatter, or poorly shaped butt and saggy abdomen, you may consider undergoing both procedures but not necessarily at the same time.
We have already discussed the safety of undergoing combined surgery on multiple occasions so you probably know that it is a safe procedure, as long as the operative time is no longer than eight hours. However, combining the Brazilian butt lift and tummy tuck is a different scenario. During the procedure, the patient needs to be positioned on the back for the tummy tuck and on the tummy for the Brazilian butt lift. We don’t recommend changing positions like this during the same operating time. But even if there is a way to do this during surgery, the post-operative discomfort would be significant and the patient would find it impossible to get any proper rest.
After the tummy tuck procedure, especially the hourglass tummy tuck when we also perform fat transfer to the hips, the patient is not allowed to rest on the tummy or sides. After the Brazilian butt lift procedure, the patient has to avoid sitting on the buttocks or sleeping on the back for several weeks. This leaves the patient with no choice when it comes to resting and we all know that it is recommended to rest and relax after a plastic surgery to allow your body to heal and restore.
The Brazilian butt lift involves the use of your own body fat to enhance your rear ends. If you have excess, unwanted fat in your body, you may qualify for the surgery. The procedure starts with the removal of unwanted fat from localized areas of your body, such as the abdomen, sides, flanks, and thighs. Liposuction is used to remove the fat, which is then processed and purified. After that, the fat is injected into the buttocks with special syringes.
The tummy tuck procedure involves surgical excision of the saggy skin and excess fat from your abdomen in addition to tightening of the abdominal muscles. Your plastic surgeon will use special techniques to make sure the aesthetic flaws are addressed with minimal invasive method possible.
It is certainly understandable that a patient would want to undergo both procedures at the same time to benefit from the superior aesthetic results. The buttocks will appear firmer, bigger, and sexier, whereas the abdomen will appear tighter, youthful, and more toned. The butt and abdomen are the most important aesthetic areas of your body. Any improvement in these regions will have positive effects on your overall body appearance.
Even if it is not recommended and almost impossible to perform the procedures in the same sitting, you can have them months apart. Make sure to allow at least six months in between the plastic surgery interventions.
